What. A. Year. Check out our recap of 2019!

We had a blast this year at our instructional camps, traveling with our Select Teams, hosting the Montana Premier Lacrosse League, and much more!

2019 was an incredible year for Treasure State Lacrosse! As the year winds down, we are taking some time to reflect on where we are at and set goals for the new year. We are constantly striving to improve our coaching and programming and so thankful for everyone who has supported our vision this past year.

Hundreds of players joined us this summer at instructional camps in Montana, Washington, Idaho, and Wyoming. This is really the area where we excel and where we see the biggest impact. Campers grow from day to day and even hour to hour by learning from our incredible staff. Huge thanks to our 2019 Road Crew - Evans Tyler (Jacksonville), Jameson Morrison (Aurora), Leo Dunlap (Cleveland State), Joseph Manna (Furman), Parker Day (Jacksonville), and Genie Santarpio (Jacksonville). We're looking forward to expanding to new locations in 2020 and impacting even more kids through our instructional camps!

Our Select Teams traveled to tournaments in Chicago, Yakima, and Seattle and represented the region with good play and sportsmanship. Some highlights of these games include Carl Quigg-Roy (Whitefish) and Demetrius Lucero (Hellgate) being selected to the All-Star game at the Chicago Cup, and our 2026 team capturing the Championship at the Northwest LaxFest. We are so thankful to all the players and families who participate in our Select program and strive to elevate not only their own game, but the quality of play across the entire region.

We kicked off our high school summer league and it was AWESOME! The Montana Premier Lacrosse League featured players from Bozeman, West Billings, Billings Bearcats, Hellgate, Sentinel, Big Sky, Helena, Glacier, and Whitefish - all mixed together into competitive teams playing in a fast and fun format. The Mountaineers, led by Coach Max Reuter, captured the inaugural Championship with a dramatic win that you can watch online because we live-streamed games all summer (say what?!). We've already got the ball rolling on 2020 and have more awesomeness in store!

This Fall, we welcomed our friend Mikie Schlosser (Denver Outlaws, San Diego Seals) to Montana for a series of clinics. The kids had an awesome time hanging with Coach Mikie and improving their shooting and stickwork. He's one of the great ambassadors for our sport and sure to be back again soon!

In December, we launched the inaugural Montana Lacrosse Convention - the region's largest educational event for the sport. We are so thankful for our incredible presenters Kevin Leveille, Tim McCormack, Hunter Forbes, Erin Abbott, Tom Hoffert, Max Reuter, and Jed Diehl. Also a big thanks to USLacrosse for their support of the event, which included Level 1 and 2 Coach Training Courses and Officials Training Courses. Huge thanks to the players and coaches who attended and we look forward to growing this event in 2020!

With an eye moving forward, we couldn't be more excited for what's in store for 2020... our Select Teams will be expanding (registration for tryouts is open now!), we're adding a new team to the M.P.L.L., we've got new and growing camps, looking forward to more broadcasts, and to welcoming new coaches to our team. We sincerely appreciate everyone who joined us on the field in 2019 and look forward to seeing you all again soon! Happy Holidays!
